From Lexington, take I-64 east to exit 161. Turn left onto KY-2 and follow signs for Carter Caves State Resort Park.

Continue on KY-2 until you reach the park entrance - it will be on your right.

Once inside the park, follow signs to find parking near your desired destination within the resort area.

To get to Smokey Valley Lake or Cascade Cave Trailhead: Take a left at Visitor Center Drive from Welcome Center Road.

For Bat Cave Entrance: Continue straight past visitor center drive and turn right onto bat cave road.

If coming from Ashland/Huntington area, take US 60 west then merge onto I-64 West towards Louisville.

Take Exit 172 toward Olive Hill/Grayson/Carter Caves State Resort Park. Merge onto Ky Hwy182 north/Ky7 South.
Follow this route until reaching Carter County where there are several turns that lead directly into state resort park.
